This Thanksgiving holiday, I'm grateful for the creative freedom that allows us to put together Mr. Huggins and Snugglypoo, warts and all. And... for a personal creative renaissance that has taken hold in some of the writing I've been working on elsewhere.
And I'm thankful for our fans... those that have chosen to follow this depressed bear and his pygmy hippo codependant on their oddysey of heartbreak and eventual personal transformation.
Sure, they are quirky characters, but there's also something universal about them. My father was hosing down river rock for a cascading water fountain this summer, and tongue in cheek, I asked him, "Why did you pour water on those rocks?"
Yes, Mr. Snugglypoo... it does indeed make them look shiny!
